About Hadieh Shafie
Hadieh Shafie is an Iranian-American visual artist whose work bridges drawing, painting, and sculpture. Her process-driven creations are in collections such as The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Victoria and Albert Museum, and The British Museum. Shafie holds MFAs in Imaging and Digital Arts (University of Maryland, Baltimore County) and Painting (Pratt Institute, Brooklyn). She was shortlisted for the Jameel Prize (2011) and received awards from the Franz and Virginia Bader Fund (2011) and the Mary Sawyers Baker Fund (2009).

About Rebecca Anne Proctor
Rebecca Anne Proctor is a journalist, broadcaster, and former Editor-in-Chief of Harper’s Bazaar Art. She covers contemporary art and current affairs across the Middle East and Africa, contributing to The New York Times Style Magazine, Bloomberg Businessweek, and The Art Newspaper. Proctor holds an M.Litt in Modern and Contemporary Art History from Christie’s London and a double master’s in Middle Eastern Studies and Conflict Resolution from the American University of Paris.
